Patriots, On January 23, 2012, the Supreme Court
refused to hear oral arguments on whether Justice Elena
Kagan should step down from the ObamaCare lawsuit. This was no surprise. The Supreme Court
is the most isolated and powerful branch of government.
Despite the overwhelming evidence indicating that Kagan
should recuse herself, the Court has refused to take any
action. Let’s review the facts…
Patriots, Solar ooze continues bubbling to the
surface in the ever-widening Solyndra scandal. After bilking
American taxpayers for more than $535 million in federal
guaranteed loans, Solyndra employees are now destroying and
discarding millions in company assets!

worth millions of dollars into a dumpster...

Senate, stupid
You may remember the slogan

used by Bill Clinton during the
1992 presidential campaign to make the point that George H.
W. Bush had not adequately addressed the poor economy.
Clinton's political strategist, James Carville, posted the
phrase inside campaign headquarters as a way to keep the
team focused and on message. The phrase later became the de

Respect the U. S. Constitution
In recent years, liberals have benefited from Americans not
knowing what’s written in the Constitution and because of
that, we’ve seen a massive increase in both the size and
scope of government.
I believe most Americans do respect the Constitution and now
is the time to tell Washington to restore respect now
Ask yourself.
Do you want a government that loans $535 million in taxpayer
dollars to a bankrupt solar panel company? A
government where unelected bureaucrats tell Boeing where
they can do business? A government that creeps into more and
more areas of your life- making decision on everything from
health care to light bulbs to french fries!
Is this the kind of government you want?
Or do the individual freedoms found in
the Constitution still matter today?
I think the
Constitution should matter today, more than ever. Go

Millions of Americans board planes every month. On each occasion,
they are asked to present a photo ID to gain entry into the gate.
It’s a procedure we’ve come to accept for a little peace of mind so
that air travel can be more secure. To
enter many office buildings, to cash a check or to even undergo a
medical procedure, photo identification is also required. Having
photo identification is an essential part of engaging in commerce in
the 21st century. Yet
the Obama administration and Attorney General Eric Holder see no
reason to require a photo ID for Americans to carry out one of our
most important civic duties: voting.

Must Account for Recent Appointments
When President Obama appointed Richard Cordray
to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) last week,
he broke with 90 years of tradition and Constitutional
interpretation. The Constitution clearly states that neither the
House nor the Senate can adjourn for more than three days without
the other chamber's approval. Because that agreement was not
reached, both the House and the Senate hold regular, "pro forma"
sessions to maintain compliance with the Constitution. President
Obama has chosen to ignore this long-held interpretation of the
Constitution by invoking the presidential power of making recess
appointments - even though Congress is not formally adjourned...

Statement on the End of American Military Presence in Iraq
Washington DC – House Armed Services Committee
Chairman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon made the following statement today
regarding the end of U.S. military presence in Iraq:
“Today we transition to a new phase in the relationship with our
ally, Iraq. Their journey to independence and freedom has not
been an easy one, and it has come at a very high price. I
hope, though, that the price paid for freedom, by Americans and
Iraqis alike, will make their liberty all the more dear.
“I
would not have conducted our withdrawal in this manner. I
believe it is too precipitous, and calculated on a political and not
a strategic timeline. I believe that President Obama should
have engaged President Maliki earlier and been willing to heed our
commanders’ recommendations concerning the size and need for a
credible U.S. force. I believe this could have been
accomplished. To all the men and women of the military who have sacrificed so much to create a functioning democracy where there was once oppression, brutality, and safety for those who would do us harm, I thank you. A new year is about to start and hopefully many of us will be commuting back and forth to work; or taking our children to school. Along with a new year comes new laws and one is banning cell phone use completely while driving even with hands free devices. This is my question... While driving and having a Bluetooth enabled device turned on, do you think it should be against the law to talk on a cell phone? I would like to know what you think. |
