Please Pray for the Pelletier Family

March 30, 2014

As you and tens of millions of Americans gather to worship and pray, please remember the Pelletier family in your prayers.

Justina Pelletier, the 15-year-old girl imprisoned by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF), is prohibited from attending religious services.

She is denied visitation by clergy, with no allowance for religious observances including Easter and Christmas. Justina has also been refused access to education, putting her far behind in her studies.

Late last week, the Pelletiers were reportedly notified that their weekly visitation rights had been cancelled by DCF, allegedly because the state agency was receiving threats from the public.
But manipulative control of the parents’ access to Justina could also be retaliation against the Pelletiers’ increasingly effective public statements and media events concerning this outrageous situation.
Then, early Friday morning, they were notified that they could have a supervised visit. This “on-again, off-again” control of access to Justina is likely designed to show the family just who’s in control!

Under the DCF’s abusive “care,” fifteen-year-old Justina has been treated far worse than an incarcerated felon by the State of Massachusetts!
Being a “ward of the state” means a child becomes state property – and potentially a medical guinea pig.
Unknown to many people, Boston Children’s Hospital is a chartered teaching hospital and is allowed under the laws of Massachusetts to conduct medical research and experimentation on children who are declared wards of the state.
According to BCH’s “Clinical and Investigation Policy and Procedure Manual”…

“Children who are wards of the state may be included in research that presents minimal risk… or greater than minimal risk with a prospect of direct benefit.”

Justina’s abuse as a DCF ward is unspeakable. No 15-year-old should be forced to live under such conditions!
This experience has left the Pelletier family to endure the trauma of their daughter being virtually imprisoned by the DCF while she suffers extreme emotional distress and deteriorating health.
The more light is shed on this tragic situation, the more it becomes apparent that the DCF and Boston Children’s Hospital have grossly violated this young woman’s and her family’s rights.

Liberty Counsel, as a result of the recent order by the Massachusetts Juvenile Court judge – which, by the way, is both factually and legally flawed – will now take this case to a higher court.

For now, while this battle unfolds in the legislatures and courts, Liberty Counsel will remain engaged as much as possible to see that Justina is returned to her home and family – and once again begins receiving the educational services and medical treatment she needs.

This is becoming a life and death issue for a 15-year-old girl who was kidnapped by an overreaching state agency. The Pelletier nightmare must come to an end before Justina is further victimized!
