As I go among people and encourage others to get involved with efforts to Restore America as “One Nation Under God,” I often hear a common response from many Christians that say something like, “I agree things are bad and getting worse. But there is nothing we can do until Jesus returns.”

I agree... the final victory over corruption, wrong doing and evil will take place when Jesus returns and I welcome his return with open arms.

However, the Jesus I have learned about during personal Bible study time and weekly Bible study groups does not expect us to sit idle on our duffs with our hands folded while we wait for his return.

He actually expects us to take up our cross and do something. Here in this world, as we wait, we are his arms, legs, feet and bodies here on earth. He expects us to do something and get results.

I am sorry if I may offend anyone, but as a conservative Christian myself, I am fed up with folks claiming we can do nothing except wait for Jesus to return. That is simply a cop out and excuse to be lazy and do nothing.

There is much we can do that will at least make things better while we wait. It is true, our, “Pre-Jesus Return,” efforts will never achieve perfection. However, while we wait for Jesus to return and make the world prefect, we can make some major improvements in preparation for his return.

I recall the Bags of Gold Parable in Mathew 25 14:29 where a man preparing to go on a journey called his servants together and entrusted his wealth to them. To the first man he gave five bags of gold, to the second, two bags, and to third man one bag, each according to his ability.

When the master of the servants returned, the first man who had received five bags of gold had put the five bags of gold to work and gained five more bags. The first man delivered ten bags of gold to his master.

His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

The second man with two bags of gold did the same and increased the two bags of gold and delivered to his master four bags.

His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Then the third man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’

His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

I consider every individual that has committed their life to serving Jesus Christ to be a modern day disciple of Jesus. As a disciple myself, the above parable does not sound very favorable for those that choose to do nothing but wait for Jesus to return.

It would be better to at least put forth the effort to do something even if that something fails. At least a failed effort is better than no effort at all. God has a purpose he wants each of us to fulfill and doing nothing while we wait for Jesus to return is not fulfilling God’s purpose.

For folks that are lazy and not willing to put forth the effort to do something, it would be more honorable to be honest and say, “I don’t want to put forth the effort.” At least the honesty could be respected. Don’t blame the return of Jesus for your own failure to put forth your own effort to do something.

To all the people waiting for Jesus to return, I say;

At work the other day I was given a task to do, it wasn't an easy or fun task either. I thought about it for a minute or two, thinking how I could do it.

I said to myself, I could ask for help so that I wouldn't have to do it all. Then I thought if I did that I would probably get yelled at for pulling someone off there job. Then I thought if I just do it myself and it don't turn out right then I'll get yelled at. So I decided if I'm going to get yelled at, I might as well do it, this way I can say that I tried, to my relief it turned out right.

Patriots, we have a job to do so let's just go out and do it. If we show initiative maybe it will catch on. But if we sat around doing nothing then we have lost.

God Bless You and God Bless those that are fighting for our FREEDOM
